JAMS International Panellist Philip L. Bruner, Esq. Awarded Norman Royce Prize

19/12/2011

London – JAMS International, the European arm of JAMS, the world’s largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services, is proud to announce that one of its panellists, Philip L. Bruner, Esq., was awarded a top honor by the United Kingdom’s Society of Construction Arbitrators.

Mr. Bruner received the Norman Royce Prize for his article, “Rapid Resolution,” an article discussing the construction industry’s history with ADR and how “rapid resolution” ADR initiatives came into fruition.

The Prize is awarded annually to an author of the best dissertation on a subject relevant to Construction Arbitration, whether in the UK, internationally or both. Papers are judged in the blind (without knowledge of the authors’ identities or affiliations) by a panel of judges drawn from the Society, which is comprised of the UK’s most distinguished construction arbitrators.

“It is a high honor to receive the Norman Royce Prize,” said Mr. Bruner. “The Society is made up of some of the most talented and experienced construction arbitrators and I’m privileged to be recognized by such an esteemed group.”

Mr. Bruner is an accomplished arbitrator and mediator and is the Founding Director of the JAMS Global Engineering and Construction Group, which provides dispute resolution services to the international engineering and construction industry. Mr. Bruner originally presented his article at the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, which was then published by the Forum in the spring 2011 issue of The Construction Lawyer.
